After last week’s full moon, there really isn’t much to discuss. The energy of this month’s lunation was intense, asking for us to take a good hard look at reality, even if that truth meant facing some of our worst fears. As we move through this next week, it is so important that we give ourselves time to really sit with and integrate what was revealed under this alignment. Otherwise, on Monday, September 4th, we have two planets stationing: Venus goes direct and Jupiter retrograde.
Venus direct means that, finally, after a whole summer of tension, confusion, and blockages within our relationships, things are finally about to calm down. Once Venus goes direct, we will be back to having a forward impulse in regard to all things Venusian. Relationships will flow better, our self-worth will rise, and attracting and managing money will go back to normal. Once Venus stations direct, she will have to pass over all of the degrees of the Zodiac where she was retrograde before making her way from Virgo into Leo. What does this mean? It means that old challenges from the summer are likely to arise, but that you are being asked to revisit them with all of the new self-awareness and wisdom that you’ve gained during this retrograde. Instead of feeling like a series of learning curbs, this time around it will feel like a series of events where you are able to rise to the occasion and win.
Jupiter in Taurus will be stationing retrograde on Monday, September 4, as well. Any planetary retrograde signals a time of reviewing and revising the themes surrounding that planet in our lives. It warns us that the areas of life ruled by that planet are about to face certain challenges that impede its outward progression and force us to go inward, questioning our relationship with that planet. With respect to Jupiter, this retrograde is all about reviewing our relationship to good fortune or, luck, if you will. Jupiter is about abundance, generosity, and wealth in all its forms, but, particularly, a wealth of knowledge and experience. During this retrograde, active from September 4 to December 31, there is the potential to feel like our luck has run dry and we are being forced to do some soul-searching to figure out why. What is it that is blocking our connection to source energy and infinite abundance? In what ways are we creating bad karma? And, in what areas of our lives are we feeling like our opportunities are limited due to our lack of knowledge? With this retrograde happening in the sign of Taurus, there is a material element present here, bringing attention to our financial and material success. Themes surrounding how to attract and expand upon existing material wealth, the virtues of money and wealth, and the doors that financial success can open up for you are likely to arise.
On Wednesday, September 6, Mercury reaches its halfway point through its retrograde cycle, marked by its conjunction with the Sun. When Mercury conjoins with the Sun, it is commonly known as a time of mental enlightenment. The difficulties and confusion regarding mental processes and communication temporarily lift, as Mercury is granted brief access to the clarity of wisdom held within the heart of the Sun. It is wise to pay attention to the messages that you receive at this time, both internally and externally, as they will be paramount in the remaining half of the retrograde cycle. The insights that you have under this alignment will help you to see through the confusion and allow you to further lean into your truth.
On Friday, September 8, Jupiter will retrograde back to trine the Sun in Virgo. This is a day marked by optimism, opportunity, and abundant vitality. Take advantage of this energy to send out your manifestation intentions to the Universe, as the Jupiter-Sun combination provides you with an abundance of creative energy and faith in yourself.
