Hello everyone and welcome to your astrological forecast for the week of April 12-19!
As of this week, Venus, planet of love, beauty, and pleasure has exited its home sign of Taurus to make its sojourn through the fun, flirtatious, and intellectual sign of Gemini. Venus in Gemini is a time of heightened social interaction, as we all move through an energy that encourages us to delight in communications with anyone around us, strangers and all. Venus is Gemini perceives anyone and everyone as approachable, making it one of the most extroverted places for Venus to be. It delights in the exchange of information of any kind, making it the true gossip of the Zodiac. In the same vein, it fancies learning through the consumption of media, be they books, videos, or podcasts. Overall, while Venus is in Gemini, we can expect a time of heightened enjoyment of social connection, outings, conversation, and learning. This is also a good time to invest in materials or programs that support skill-development of any kind.
Furthermore, as Venus enters Gemini this week, it will quickly approach an opening square with Saturn in Pisces. Back in late January of this year, Venus and Saturn conjoined in the sky, meaning that these two planets combined forces to set in motion a story line for the months to come surrounding our approach to handling the responsibility of our relationship to our loved ones, to money, and to pleasure. Whatever was set in motion back then is now arriving at its first real test, otherwise known as the opening square. This occurs when the faster moving planet of the conjunction arrives at 90* ahead of the other in the Zodiac. If you are willing to hold strong in the spirit of Saturn (I.e. a sober, methodical, and responsible approach), then you will likely face any adversity with ease, finding it more motivating than anything else. It’s only when we avoid assuming responsibility for our actions and subsequent circumstances that we feel weighed down by the effects of Saturn. Be mindful of temptations at this time that might lead you off the straight and narrow, and if any changes need to be made in regards to where Venus shows up in your life, fearlessly make them now. Sound decision making will be highly rewarded later on this year when we reach the Venus-Saturn opposition.
