Whether this is your first astrology reading or you’ve been studying your chart for years, I want you to feel comfortable and informed before we meet. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about my consultations, approach, and booking process.

Do you teach astrology?

Yes. Education is one of the central pillars of my work, and I offer private astrology instruction for students who want to develop a deeper and more technically grounded understanding of the practice.

My teaching is rooted primarily in traditional and Hellenistic astrology and is designed to move beyond memorizing signs, planets, and houses. We explore the underlying structure and philosophy of astrology—planetary condition, rulership, dignity, sect, houses, aspects, chart interpretation, and the historical foundations that allow these techniques to function together as a coherent system.

Private instruction can be adapted to your existing level of knowledge, whether you are building a serious foundation from the beginning or already have experience with astrology and want to strengthen your technical skills.

My goal is ultimately to teach you how to think astrologically: how to synthesize a chart, weigh conflicting testimonies, understand planetary symbolism in context, and develop interpretations that are both technically sound and sensitive to the complexity of human experience.

Students also receive supplemental educational materials, exercises, homework, recordings, and recommended resources to support their learning between sessions provided through a custom Notion page.

What can I expect from a session with you?

My sessions are conversational, educational, and highly personalized. I don’t believe an astrology reading should feel like someone simply reciting information about you for an hour. My goal is to help you understand the patterns within your chart, how they have manifested throughout your life, and how you can work with them more intentionally moving forward.

Every session is prepared individually before we meet. Depending on the consultation you book, we may explore your natal chart, current and upcoming planetary cycles, relationships, major life transitions, or the themes surrounding the year ahead.

There is also plenty of room for questions, reflection, and conversation. Astrology is most powerful to me when it becomes a dialogue between the symbolism of the chart and the reality of your lived experience.

What kind of astrology do you practice?

My work is rooted primarily in traditional and Hellenistic astrology, informed by years of study of astrology’s history, philosophy, and spiritual foundations.

My education has been shaped extensively by the work and teachings of astrologers including Chris Brennan, Austin Coppock, and Kelly Surtees, alongside continued independent study and professional practice.

Rather than approaching astrology solely as a personality system, I understand it as a language of nature—one developed through humanity’s observation of the relationship between celestial cycles and life on Earth.

My work therefore combines traditional technique with an embodied, contemporary approach. I want you to leave your session not only knowing what your chart says, but understanding why the symbolism matters and how it relates to the life you are actually living.

I've never had an astrology reading before. Is that okay?

Absolutely.

You do not need to know anything about astrology before booking a session. I will explain the concepts we encounter as we go, and you are always welcome to ask questions.

In fact, introducing someone to their birth chart for the first time is one of my favorite parts of this work.

What is included in a Natal Chart Session?

The Natal Chart Session is the most comprehensive introduction to your astrology and is generally the best place to begin if we have never worked together.

We spend 90 minutes exploring the major architecture of your birth chart, including the planetary placements and patterns that speak most strongly to your temperament, relationships, motivations, challenges, gifts, and broader life story.

I prepare your chart extensively before we meet so that our time together can focus on the themes that are most important rather than attempting to mechanically interpret every placement.

Natal sessions also include a personalized tarot spread, allowing us to approach your current circumstances through another symbolic lens and bring additional clarity to whatever may be most present in your life at the time of our consultation.

What is the difference between a Natal Reading and a Transit Reading?

Your natal chart describes the arrangement of the heavens at the moment you were born. It remains the foundation of your astrology throughout your life.

Transits describe what the planets are doing now in relationship to that natal chart.

A Natal Chart Session focuses primarily on understanding the underlying patterns of your birth chart. A Transit Session focuses on the planetary cycles currently unfolding in your life and what may be developing over the coming weeks or months.

If you have never had your natal chart professionally interpreted, I generally recommend beginning there before moving into ongoing transit work.

What's the difference between the Monthly Check-In and the Three-Month Forecast?

The Monthly Check-In is designed for a focused look at your immediate astrological weather. It works particularly well for returning clients who want ongoing support navigating current circumstances, decisions, transitions, or significant transits.

The Three-Month Forecast gives us a wider lens. Rather than concentrating primarily on the present moment, we map the major planetary movements unfolding over the next several months and identify important periods, recurring themes, opportunities, and potential challenges.

If you have a particularly eventful season ahead—or simply want more perspective on where you're going—the Three-Month Forecast is generally the better option.

What is a Solar Return Reading?

A Solar Return chart is cast for the precise moment each year that the Sun returns to its natal position in your birth chart.

I use the Solar Return alongside your natal chart and relevant planetary cycles to explore the major themes surrounding the year ahead. We may look at areas such as relationships, career, creativity, home, personal development, and periods of heightened activity or transition.

Rather than treating the chart as a list of events that are guaranteed to happen, I use it to understand where the year appears to be concentrating its energy and what kinds of experiences may be asking for your attention.

Solar Return sessions are especially meaningful around your birthday and can become a beautiful annual practice for reflecting on the year behind you and orienting yourself toward the one ahead.

Do you predict the future?

Astrology can be an extraordinarily useful tool for understanding timing, cycles, and periods of greater or lesser emphasis. I am comfortable discussing predictive astrology and will not pretend that traditional astrology has nothing to say about future circumstances.

That said, I do not believe a chart eliminates human agency.

I approach prediction as a conversation about patterns, timing, possibilities, and context rather than an absolute declaration of what must happen. My intention is never to make you fearful of your chart or dependent upon astrology to make decisions for you.

Astrology should deepen your relationship with your own life—not replace it.

Can you tell me whether I should leave my relationship, quit my job, move, or make another major decision?

I can help you explore the astrology surrounding a decision, identify the themes and timing involved, and offer another perspective on what you are experiencing.

I will not make major life decisions on your behalf.

My role is to give you information, context, and space for reflection so that you can make decisions with greater awareness and agency.

Do you offer relationship readings?

Yes. Relationship consultations can explore synastry between two birth charts, the dynamics each person brings into the relationship, areas of ease and tension, and important patterns within the connection.

Relationship astrology is not used to determine whether two people are simply “compatible” or “incompatible.” Human relationships are much more complicated than that.

Instead, I use astrology to help illuminate how two people relate to one another and what the relationship may be asking each person to understand.

Accurate birth information for both people may be required depending on the consultation.

Do I need an exact birth time?

Yes.

An accurate birth time allows me to calculate your Ascendant, houses, angles, and several timing techniques that can significantly affect an interpretation.

Birth certificates are generally the best source. You may also be able to obtain birth records from the appropriate state or local vital-records office.

If you do not know your birth time, please contact me before booking so we can determine whether the session you are interested in can still be conducted meaningfully.

Do you offer birth-time rectification?

I do not currently offer birth-time rectification.

Rectification is a specialized and often time-intensive astrological process, and I prefer to refer clients who need this service to astrologers who specialize in it.

Why do you ask for my birth information before the session?

Your birth date, exact birth time, and birthplace allow me to calculate and prepare your chart before we meet.

Your session is not something I begin interpreting when you arrive on Zoom. I spend dedicated time with your chart beforehand, researching and organizing the material so that our consultation can be focused, thoughtful, and specific to you.

Can I record my session?

Yes.

Because we often cover a substantial amount of information, I encourage clients to revisit their sessions rather than feeling pressured to remember everything in the moment.

Any recording provided is intended for your personal use and will never be shared for media- or education-related purposes.

Can I ask questions during my reading?

Please do!

I want sessions to feel like conversations rather than lectures. If something resonates, confuses you, brings up a memory, or leads to another question, I encourage you to say so.

Your lived experience provides context that no astrological chart can supply on its own.

Can you read my child's chart?

I offer thoughtful approaches to children's astrology with particular attention to the responsibility involved in interpreting a chart for someone who is still developing.

I avoid deterministic statements about who a child will become. Instead, the emphasis is placed on temperament, needs, strengths, sensitivities, learning styles, and ways parents or caregivers can better understand and support the child.

Is astrology a substitute for therapy, medical care, legal advice, or financial advice?

No.

Astrology and tarot are spiritual and educational practices. My consultations are not substitutes for medical or mental-health treatment, legal counsel, financial advice, or other licensed professional services.

When something falls outside my scope of practice, I will always encourage you to seek support from an appropriately qualified professional.

What is your approach to tarot?

I approach tarot as a symbolic and intuitive practice for reflection, clarification, and exploring the dynamics surrounding a situation.

I do not use tarot to encourage fear or dependency, and I don't believe you need to repeatedly consult the cards about every decision you make.

Like astrology, tarot is most valuable to me when it helps illuminate something—not when it replaces your own judgment.

Do you practice herbalism?

I am currently pursuing formal studies in herbalism, with a particular interest in the historical relationship between plants, planets, medicine, magick, and traditional astrological practice.

Herbalism is an evolving branch of my broader work rather than a clinical service I currently offer. My long-term vision includes developing an online apothecary featuring botanical preparations created with intentional astrological timing and informed by traditional alchemical principles.

Any future herbal offerings will be clearly distinguished from individualized medical care.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Because significant preparation occurs before each consultation and appointment availability is limited, please provide as much notice as possible if you need to make a change.

Specific cancellation, rescheduling, late-arrival, and no-show policies are provided during the booking process. Please review them carefully before confirming your appointment.

I'm running late. Will I still receive my full session?

Sessions are reserved for a specific block of time and generally cannot be extended when a client arrives late, particularly when another appointment follows.

If you are experiencing a technical issue or unexpected delay, please contact me as soon as possible.

What happens after I book?

After booking, you will receive instructions for how to join our session, including a link to the Zoom page and a password.

Your appointment is considered fully confirmed once the required booking information has been submitted.

From there, I prepare your chart in advance, and we meet virtually at your scheduled appointment time.

Then all you need to do is arrive with an open mind, your questions, and perhaps something to take notes with.

How do I know which session is right for me?

If this is your first time working with me and you want to understand your chart as a whole, begin with a Natal Chart + Tarot Session.

If we've already established your natal foundation and you want to understand what is happening in your life right now, choose a Monthly Transit Check-In.

If you'd like to map the coming season and understand the major cycles developing over the next several months, choose a Three-Month Forecast.

And if you're approaching your birthday and want to explore the themes of your next solar year, choose a Solar Return + Year Ahead Session.

Whichever doorway you choose, the purpose of the work remains the same: to use astrology not as an escape from life, but as a language through which we can understand our place within it more deeply.
